There are two main options for 35mm slide scanning. Please see the information below

OPTION#1FOR OLDER OR EMULSION DAMAGED, DIRTY, FADED, DARK, POOR COLOUR, EXPOSURE, WATER, FIRE DAMAGED, BENT, WARPED OR SCRATCHED SLIDES

DIGITAL RESTORATION OF SLIDES (BEST FOR ALL OLDER SLIDES IN POOR CONDITION)

We scan warped, bent and  image damaged slides from being exposed to water from floods or fires, poor storage condition from a leaky roof, flooded basement, dirt from garage or barn storage.

OUR PRICES FOR RESTORATION INCLUDE: High resolution professional 35mm scanning with complete digital restoration of slides to J-PEG files with: DIGITAL ENHANCEMENT ICE, ROC & GEM, Color Correction, Exposure Correction, cropping & orientation of the image, archival quality CD, DVD masters with printing direct on the disc and includes a poly clear case or file storage on Mdisc 1000 year archival DVDs or USB thumb drives or SD cards

Digital ICE4™: The award-winning DIGITAL ICE4™ technology automatically removes surface defects, such as dust and scratches, from a scanned image & is more compatible with Kodachrome film.

Digital ROC™: Automatically restores original colors by analyzing the base image and applying corrections to the faded colors.

Digital GEM™: Analyzes and reduces grain caused by the film emulsion, and automatically enhances the clarity of a scanned film image while preserving its colors, gradations and sharpness.

Cropping: Minimal cropping is done so you don't see the slide mount and to give you a larger image.

Rotation & Orientation: Each slide will be orientated correctly if they are originals and clearly marked "view from this side" or "place this side toward screen". Some copies or duplicates of slides will not necessarily be orientated correctly because there may not be a reference to which side should scanned. We will not rotate the slide for viewing  unless they are being used for a slide show. All the slides are scanned horizontally for the largest viewing and print size.

The quality of these scans are incredible and you will not be disappointed. We recommend this process for ALL emulsion damaged negative & positive films. Included at no additional charge is the archival quality master DVD or CD media & case along with direct on disc printing (no sticky label).

("ICE" stands for "Image Correction Enhancement," Under optimal circumstances, it can completely remove scratches, dust, and fingerprints from a slide or negative, while leaving the underlying image untouched!

ABOUT 127 SLIDE SCANNING

127 Super Slides film format was introduced by Kodak in 1912, and continues in use for still photography. The image format is usually a square 4×4 cm and positive film is mounted on 2×2" cardboard or plastic mounts. TMTV can scan these in full 127 format or crop to 35mm format.

Slides shot on 127 slide film were often preferred over 35 mm for sets of slides sold at tourist gift shops, because of the larger photo area and completely square dimensions of a 127 slide.

If you require full size dimensional scanning of 127 format there are additional charges because of the larger surface area that must be formatted and scanned manually. This cost is an additional 50% per slide based on 35mm pricing.

We do not charge extra for cropping the image and proving a 35mm format scan size.

TMTV takes pride in providing 127 slide scanning support. With the use of high end film scanners along with Digital ICE technology developed by Nikon, we provide 127 slide scanning to CD or DVD.

CONDITION & TYPE OF SLIDES DETERMINES THE ORDER THE SLIDES WILL BE SCANNED

Each slide is scanned in the order of their condition and type of slide (Ektacrome/Kodacrome/other). If all of the slides are all in excellent shape they will be scanned in numerical order, if each slide is numbered and shows the correct side for viewing or scanning. Slides that are bent, damaged or a different size or orientation will be scanned in the order that we can work with. If you require each slide to have its own name or separate folders, additional charges apply.

Bent & damaged slides

You can supply the slides in their original boxes, trays or carousels. If the slides are stored in individual metal frames or in a slide album were the slides must be removed and replaced additional handling charges will apply. Cost depends on quantity.

After scanning the slides they will be replaced in their original boxes, trays or carousels but may not be replaced in the correct order or orientation unless each slide is numbered and show the correct side for viewing.
