Canadian taxes: Applicable GST taxes of 5% in BC or items shipped to us and sent to an address in BC is subject to 5%. All other Canadian provinces and territories are subject to either their GST or HST. Example 1: A customer from Alberta sends their films to TMTV for archival, restoration & repair, the tax charged and collected is 5% GST.  Example 2: A customer in Nova Scotia sends their film to TMTV for repair, the tax collected and charged is their 15% HST.

No changes are proposed to the current place of supply rule that applies where a supplier receives tangible personal property of another person for the purpose of either
• supplying a service of repairing, maintaining, cleaning, adjusting or altering the property, or
 producing a negative, transparency, photographic print or other photographic-related good.


NEW! OVERSEAS & COUNTRIES OUTSIDE OF CANADA & USA CUSTOMER NOTICE: We currently only service customers outside of Canada or the United States of America under special circumstances. Considerations for Motion Picture film orders of damaged movie film requiring: Film Recovery, Restoration may be considered depending on volume along with minimum charges that may apply.  Film Recovery and/or scanning and would only be output to NTSC or PAL video standard format or Numbered Image Sequence (NIS) which requires no format because it is a picture file of each film frame. There are many issues that can prevent us from providing regular services outside of North America, including: Different video standards, overseas shipping, time zones, currency exchange, billing, taxes and warranties.

A few things that are required before we would consider handling your film project from a customer outside of North America.
  1. Please check to see if your country is located in our "world TV standards" website and that your country uses NTSC or PAL world TV standard. Many countries have different TV standards. We can only service (or provide services to) counties that use NTSC specifications or PAL specification world TV standards
  2. Payment is only accepted by PayPal in US Dollars. NO OTHER PAYMENT IS ACCEPTED BUT PAYPAL. A minimum 50% deposit would be required upon physical inspection before processing your order, once completed the final invoice is due on receipt before returning your order. NO PRE-PAYMENT ACCEPTED IN ANY WAY until you are invoiced and the only required payment is by PayPal in US Dollars.
  3. We only export your films to our media in NTFS format only. We do not reformat ANY of our media to EXFAT or FAT32 for MAC USE. We are a PC based company, however if providing you a portable hard drive it would be compatible for both PC & MAC.
  4. Shipping must be paid by the client both ways (You would not qualify for free shipping when outside of North America) and we would only return your order via XpressPost International which includes: Signature & tracking. If Canada Post does not deliver to your country then it will be shipped making Special Shipping arrangements at additional cost.
  5. When shipping from outside Canada there are duties, taxes and brokerage fees that may be required by your Government when you receive your completed order. Customers would be responsible for any duties, taxes, brokerage fees owed based on the value of your order.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE OF CANADA & THE USA: We do not return calls to overseas customers. This is due to the international time zones for calling outside of North America. How To Safely Disconnect an External USB Drive from your Computer

IMPORTANT - Teamwork Media Lab ( does not warranty USB Thumb/Flash drives or Portable Hard Drives or the files contained on the drive/s if proper unplugging procedures are not followed and you lose or corrupt the drive. Always follow the proper removal instructions when unplugging from your computer.

VERY IMPORTANT; Claims for physically damaged or missing items when shipped must be received within two (2) business days of receipt of merchandise.

LIMITED WARRANTY: Warranties for media are limited to the original manufacturer and not covered by TMTV. Returning defective media: All returned or exchanged media must be in it's original box or packaging provided when purchased and to include any manuals, cables, cases or accessories. (We must return the same to the original manufacturer to claim the warranty on the merchandise). There are no warranties or exchanges for customer provided media. Defective media provided by TMTV may be repaired or exchanged at our discretion for the same or manufacture's equivalent model only.

NOTE: Returns/warranties will not be accepted after 14 days of receiving your order. Please inspect your order as soon as you receive it.

STORAGE OF CUSTOMERS COMPUTER FILES: We have a maximum 60 day file storage and backup to all "file formats" from video, film, audio tape, photos, negatives or slides were "files" from the original material were created or mastered. After 60 days from the date of invoice the files will be deleted unless we are instructed by the customer to hold onto the files for a longer period. Again check your media and files upon receipt. NOTE: DVD Masters that were created by "video direct to DVD" are not backed up and are not covered under our file storage and backup program. It is always a good idea to make copies from the masters.

GUARANTEE EXCEPTIONS: FILM, VIDEO, AUDIO, REPAIR, RESTORATION, RESCUE OR RECOVERY: Film, video, audio, slides, photos physical Repairs, Restoration or Recovery are not covered by any Warranty or Guarantee. After any physical repair, restoration or recovery we can not be held liable for the condition of the original material. No guarantee is implied for these services. Once converted or transferred to a storage media this would be the original materials final attempt.  If there is an issue with transfer or conversion of these formats, please be aware that we made the best attempt possible based on your materials original poor physical condition. No film delivered to Teamwork Media for "Recovery" is returned (please see the order form, estimate or quote you would have received and/or signed before having us attempt or complete the Film Recovery process). Video, audio tapes, photos or slides may be returned.

If any of the above conditions are not met, TMTV reserves the right to refuse the return or provide "re-dos" at no cost.

STORAGE OF CUSTOMERS ORIGINAL MATERIAL: TMTV is not responsible for customers original material left at TMTV longer than 30 days after the customers initial order is completed and invoiced. We are also not responsible for any material received at TMTV for hands-on inspection and quote left for longer than 30 days. Once a hands-on inspection and quote is provided you have 30 days maximum to make a decision if you want us to proceed with your order. If you do not, you will have to pay for return shipping or ask us to discard your material. We will make a reasonable attempt to contact you by phone or e-mail within 30 days. If we have not received a reply we have the right to discard your material.

Referral Commission

Refer a customer to us by email with their name, address, email and phone number, along with all your contact information including your e-mail so we can pay you by PayPal. When the customer contact us and makes a successful order we would then provide you a payment for 15 % commission for that referral. Commission is based on the final cost of the Recovery Service provided, excluding; supplies (media), transaction fees, tax and shipping (if applicable).
