Special weather
statements and a
winter storm warning
has been issued by
Environment Canada
for southeast BC.
A slow transition
from a cold Arctic
airmass to a milder
but moist Pacific
airmass will take
place over BC as a
major Pacific storm
approaches the BC
coast tonight and
slowly shifts into
the interior Friday
afternoon. Snow will
begin over the coast
tonight and spread
to the interior on
Friday.
Storm total
amounts of 15 to 25
cm are expected for
most of BC highways
with higher amounts
of up to 40 cm
possible over the
passes in southern
interior. Travel is
not recommended
unless absolutely
necessary on highway
passes when the
storm arrives.
