SKI BUM: THE MUSICAL IS BACK TO SHRED THE ROSSLAND WINTER CARNIVAL

'Ski Bum: The Musical' Friday, January 27^th & Saturday, January 28^th, 2012

TMTVNEWS.COM, Rossland, BC. It doesn't matter if you're a musical buff, ski bum, ski buff, or musical bum, ‘Ski Bum: The Musical’ is a fast-paced, shredding good time for the whole family. Iron Mountain Theatre (I.M.T.) is proud to present  the return of their smash hit: ‘Ski Bum: The Musical’  on January 27^th and 28^th  at Rossland Secondary School. The show and laughs begin at 7:30pm.

I.M.T. (the company who brought you, ‘White Star Lady’, and ‘Company jump’) is the Kootenay's hottest professional theatre company. 'Ski Bum: The Musical' tells the story of one ski bum nearly cresting over the hill, with all of his youthful energy intact…and that’s the problem. Jeff Snowden needs to grow up a little, and act more responsibly if he wants things to go his way in adulthood. When an old flame at Big Snow Peak sparks a renewed interest in Jeff’s heart, he starts to consider the benefits of gaining a level of maturity. With the help of   cultural anthropologist , played by new cast member Grant Waters, studying the culture and practices of ski-bummery, and a sometimes-not-so-nice head of ski patrol, he begins to see that he doesn’t have to give up skiing and having fun in order to evolve.

Ski Bum is jammed packed with hummable tunes that span a wide range of genres, jokes that run the gamut of humour from slapstick to high comedy, and eleven inspired musical performances.  The innuendo alone is enough to tickle even the most chafed of funny-bones. Don't forget to take the Ski Bums home with you! The cast has been hard at work on the release of their original soundtrack recording which will be available for purchase at the show.
