84 Year old Creston
BC man killed in
crash

at 7:28 P.M.
Creston RCMP
responded to a
two vehicle
collision on Hwy
3A north of
Sanca Creek
about a half
hour drive north
of Creston,
B.C. A
preliminary
investigation
found that a
northbound
vehicle being
operated by an
84 year old man
who resides in
the area crossed
the center line
and collided
with a
southbound
vehicle. The
southbound
driver a 42 year
old Creston
resident was
treated and
released on
scene by
ambulance
personnel.
East Kootenay
Traffic Services
will be taking
charge of the
investigation.
Assisting our
traffic unit is
a Collision
Reconstrutionist
with Southeast
District Traffic
Services who
attended the
collision scene
following the
incident. The
cause of this
motor vehicle
incident is not
known at this
time. A further
investigation is
to be conducted
with a view to
determining the
causal factors
associated to
this collision.
At this time
alcohol is not
believed to have
been a factor in
this collision.
Creston RCMP is
still working to
notify next of
kin.
